Petrified Wood Bookends
Simply stunning, our spectacular bookends are strong enough to hold heavy books. Each is made of a beautifully cut thick slice of natural petrified wood polished to a glossy finish, and has a rough live edge and a freeform design. They are perfect atop a desktop or adorning a bookcase, and have felted bottoms so they won't damage furniture finish. Each set is a unique piece of art, and no two sets will be exactly alike.

Each bookend is approx. 5"L x 2" deep x 5"H. Together approx. 10"W. Total weight approx. 6.5 lbs. Size and weight will vary slightly due to natural materials used.
Materials
Handcrafted Solid Natural Petrified Wood Stone. Cut petrified wood originates from fossilized forests that were covered by volcanic activity in Sumatra between 80 and 120 million years ago. The tree like plants have their organic material replaced by silicate, such as opal, chalcedony, or quartz. Unlike a plant fossil that is actually an impression made by the object, petrified wood retains the original structure of the plant through the process of mineralization.
Additional Information
A naturally textured finish is part of the beauty of this piece, and each may have small cracks, areas of roughness, and slight finish differences. These make each a unique work of art, and no two will be exactly alike.
